EDINBURGH CASTLE

Built on volcanic rock, and sitting imposingly over the city centre, Edinburgh Castle is one of the most awe inspiring sights, ovuched for by over 1 million visitors a year.

It stands at one end of the Royal Mile, a mile of many storied 14th Century houses between the castle and the Royal residence of Holyrood Palace. There are many reasons to visit Edinburgh, but this is probably the most visually stunning.
