CAWDOR CASTLE

Immortalised in Shakespeare's Macbeth, Cawdor Castle is located near Nairn, a half hour drive from Inverness. Built as a fortress in the 14th Century for the Thanes of Cawdor, the castle still retains many original features. The grounds incorporate 3 gardens, the Cawdor Big Wood, and a nine hole golf course. Truly a day steeped in history.
